New iPod models have sprung up as quickly as mushrooms after the rain and each time they just seem to get better and better. I have to say though that this U2 special edition iPod just captured my heart the moment I saw it. Being very much a U2 fan, the fact that the back panel has the band members signatures engraved on it is enough reason in itself for it to be the best. The U2 iPod is easily recognizable from all the other models due to its style. While the others are usually white - or plain black in the case of some 5G models this baby s black front panel and bright red click wheel is sure to stand out. The U2 iPod is so much more than eye candy, though. Twenty gigabytes of storage may seem meager compared to the storage capacity of the newer models but believe me, it still translates to a lot of songs. I have had the iPod for a little over a year now and I still haven t filled it up. The U2 iPod has similar features as that of other iPods of its generation. It is so easy to use - all you need in order to do whatever you want with your songs is your thumb. Superior sound...

Many of the computers that are attached to the Internet are infected with some sort of Spyware or Adware type applications. These applications are designed to subject the user from anything from annoying pop up windows to the stealing of people s identity. As time goes along these programs will only become more advanced and will cause even more problems for Internet Service Providers and System Administrators as these programs advance in functionality and become even harder to detect. There is a simple measure you can take to prevent these programs from being able to access your system in the first place. Many experts recommend that you keep your system updated and ensure you have the latest Virus and Protection software up to date. You can even utilize a firewall, like the one that comes default with Windows XP, to combat these threats. These are great ideas, but there is something simpler you can do that will prove to be more effective at combating Spyware than all of these methods combined. By default most home computers only ever have one user account created and that is...

Heels make the female leg look beautiful, and many women wear them as a matter of course. They can, however, have seriously damaging affects on the foot of the wearer as well as on their muscles and knees. For the woman who is addicted to heels there is still hope for a comfortable look that is good for leg and foot health. There are certain shoes that have better affects on the feet. Stilettos are a big offender. They can cause all manner of injuries to the foot including hammer toes and stress fractures not to mention downright sore feet. Heels with more squared toes offer better accommodation for the natural curve of the toes than most shoes. Also, chunkier, shorter heels will cause less damage to the foot in the long run. Unfortunately, these shoes are better for the foot but just as damaging to the knees. Thicker soles are better for the foot. They are more shock absorbing and put less pressure on the foot. The upper material of the shoes should ideally be made out of leather or a microfiber which will allow the foot some room to move and will not constrict the foot if...

Bust Tanning Myths And Have A Safe Tan

The custom of tanning is highly popular among western societies. Recent studies from several sources have come up with reasons to discourage the practice of tanning as it runs the risk of the person getting cancer. This is because the tanning method actively damages the DNA of the individual and causes mutations to occur in the cells of the individual. Besides this risk, tanning also leads to a blocking of the body s natural anti- depressants and thus runs the increased risk of getting cancer. Nevertheless, the growing evidence of linkages between cancer and tanning have not led to a complete ban of tanning. Several myths are propagated in support of the case for tanning and these myths have done much groundwork leading to the continuation of tanning under artificial conditions. One of the common myths prevalent is the belief that tanning is healthy because it protects the body from sunburn. This is totally baseless observation by the pro tanning lobby. The myth relies on the idea that the tan is the body s natural way of preventing UV rays from penetrating into the skin and...

What the heck is the Recycle Bin anyway. You see it every time you turn your computer on, but you haven t a clue what it s for. No problem. Just think of the Recycle Bin as your personal life-saver. Have you ever regretted deleting something from the My Documents folder. If you re anything like me, you have all kinds of junk in there: old letters, reports, awful recipes, lyrics to bad songs from the eighties and who knows what else. So you decide to delete some stuff. Every once in a while,I ll stay up late and I ll become a little trigger-happy with the Delete key. After the dust has settled, I ll turn my computer off and head for bed, smug and content that I ve done a most noble and good deed. However, the next day I ll turn my computer on, prime and ready to get started on my yearly tax returns. After about two minutes of searching, I ll promptly smack myself on the forehead and realize that that document I deleted said 2005 Tax Info, not 2005 Taxi Jokes. I ll notice that the taxi Joke file is still sitting there in the My Documents folder, almost mocking me. But alas...
